About this image: Presenting the
Island Princess vessel from Princess Cruise Lines
While in the area of Glacier Bay National Park Alaska, we
saw many cruise ships from various Cruise Lines, including
Holland America Line and Princess Cruises - this one
being the Island Princess from Princess Cruises. As a means
to visit Alaska and Glacier Bay National Park, this is a
fantastic way to go. Each day there are two Cruise Ships
allowed passage into Glacier Bay and these vessels are
accompanied by a National Park Ranger on-board to provide
interpretive services and provide details & information
about the Park and it's features. The Island Princess seems
a nice cruise ship to travel on as there are extensive
balconies on the sides and a considerable amount of glass to
allow the passengers to see their surroundings. |

About this image:
Island Princess surrounded by natural beauty
Here is a straight on side profile view of the Island
Princess from Princes Cruise Lines, framed in the background
by some of Glacier Bay National Park's beauty. As you can
see, there is a little more elbow room on this cruise ship
than on Mad Dog Voyager, but we think it also cost a little
more to build... |

About this image:
Island Princess entering Glacier Bay Park, Alaska
This is again, the Island Princess from Princess Cruise
Lines. Once they have finished their day in Glacier Bay
National Park, the cruise ship rendezvous' with a National
Park vessel in order for the Ranger to return to the Ranger
Station in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska. We imagine
there have been a few Rangers who thought about stowing away
and maybe taking a nice cruise and a holiday.... |
