Canon
EOS 20D Digital SLR camera

The crew on Mad Dog Voyager has chosen the Canon EOS 20D
and Canon 7D digital camera
because of the quality and versatility of these SLR digital cameras
for above and under
water shooting of pictures. We use the
Canon 7D camera as our
main camera and the Canon 20D as backup or when high pixels count is not
important.
The increasing popularity of digital cameras
has made it one of the fastest growing categories in consumer
electronics. With more products, features and functions available
now than ever before, shopping for a digital camera can be quite
overwhelming. Finding the right camera is important, because once
you enter the digital world, you will never look back.
Details on our Canon 20D SLR camera:
Overview (As per Canon)
Professional photographers and advanced amateurs will be astonished with
the incredibly sophisticated abilities of the Canon EOS 20D digital SLR.
With a large 8.2 Megapixel CMOS sensor (APS-C size) and the DIGIC II
image engine, the EOS 20D delivers high-speed image processing,
outstanding resolution and natural color reproduction. A high
precision, 9-point Wide-area AF with a dual precision sensor lets you
easily focus on off-centre subjects. You may never miss a shot again;
the EOS 20D boasts outstanding speed at 5 fps for up to 23 consecutive
frames (JPEG) or 6 frames (RAW) and 0.2 second start-up time. Record
your images in any of six JPEG quality modes, RAW mode, or RAW and JPEG
mode simultaneously - then quickly download them via USB 2.0 Hi-Speed.
Plus, you can select to record your images in either sRGB, Adobe RGB
color mode or the new black and white modes. Other features include E-TTL
II for stable flash exposures and improved White Balance compensation.
The EOS 20D, which is smaller and lighter than the EOS 10D, is enclosed
in an elegant magnesium body, combining toughness with sophistication.
Rugged, fast and compatible with the entire EOS line of lenses and
accessories, the EOS 20D marks another huge leap forward in digital SLRs.
